Citrix Program Neighborhood agent credential problems

Had a older version of Citrix PNA install did a upgrade on it to 10.xx, would go to login and it would work start refreshing applications then prompt me again for my credentials, then would login and again and again it would happen. Uninstalled Citrix Program Neighborhood agent and reinstalled a fresh copy of 10.xx down, same problem was happening.

OS: Windows XP SP2

WARINING: for step #3, make sure that you have a good backup before this step is done. As it could cause more problems then it solves if your not sure about what your doing.

  1. Uninstall Citrix PNA
  2. Reboot
  3. Scan registry for “citrix” deleting all references to the Citrix PNA
  4. Reboot
  5. Reinstall Citrix PNA
  6. Reboot (if you want)

Today, I face problem in Citrix Program Neighborhood for machines that have windows xp only for two sections ( retail and catering ). when I double click on any citrix program such as ( cashier ), the message shows “cannot connect to citrix metaframe server no buffer space available ” and sometimes in addition to this message, other message appears “out of virtual memory”. when I restart the machine, the program connects OK and continue for half hour approximately then it disconnects and the message “no buffer space available ” appears again and I must restart the machine again and so on . Can you help me in solving this problem?

It sounds like your XP system has a memory leak of some kind, from what the error messages state, it sounds like something is eating up all your memory on the XP system that is why a reboot fixes it. Maybe add more ram to the system or if you have hard drive space you could increase the virtual memory of the system.
